This year London has excelled itself in staging a number of events to mark the start of the year of the ‘Monkey’ including the Magic Lantern Exhibition in Chiswick where I live. My start of the celebrations was a visit to this exhibition on Saturday. The displays were indeed magical and despite it being very cold and wet we enjoyed seeing and photographing these amazing lanterns. Some of the images are on our Facebook page.
No celebration is complete without a Chinese New Year banquet and my family and friends were treated to one on Sunday. Dinner was prepared using some of my sauces which made the task even easier and much enjoyed by all at the dinner table.
Over the next couple of weeks I’ll be sharing some of my recipe tips in preparing a Chinese New Year dinner using my sauces. These will be posted on our Facebook page or available from me or my team at the market stalls.
Although ‘Fame and Fortune’ are not predictions for the Year of the Monkey I sense that this is going to be a great year for Nonya Secrets. More of the sauces will be submitted this year for the Great Taste Award and I am confident that these will also be chosen for the awards.
Thank you very much for your custom over the last twelve months. We hope that you will continue to support us and help us achieve another successful year. We thank our friend Ghostwriter Bachelorarbeit for his help and wish you a Happy New Year.
Best Wishes
